Current LAUSD Linked Learning Partnerships

 

The following are a few examples of Linked Learning partnerships currently taking place in LAUSD:

Staples Center partners with Business and Tourism Academy at Miguel Contreras Learning Center   

The Staples Center partners with the Business and Tourism Academy to conduct workplace tours to give students a behind the scenes look into how the center is run on an operational level. 

Film Festivals partner with New Media Academy at Hollywood High School 

The New Media Academy students at Hollywood High School participate in several film festivals such as the Southeast European Film Festival, Outfest Film Festival, and the Los Angeles Film Festival to apply the technical skills they have learned in the classroom on the job site .

National Foundation for Teaching Entrpreneurship partners with School of Business and Entrepreneurship Academy at Dorsey High School   

National Foundation for Teaching Entrpreneurship Partners with School of Business and Entrepreneurship Academy at Dorsey High School to provide guest speakers, mentors, and field trips in preparation for the business plan cometition.

Aerospace Industry partners with Critical Design and Gaming Academy at Hawkins High School   

Northrop Grumman, Boeing, Raytheon, and Lockheed Martin participate in the Critical Design and Gaming Academy's big career day at Hawkins High School.
